About the Thursday Performance Group:
The group meets every Thursday evening at 6pm at South Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon. The group will often workout there but will occasionally do workouts in other areas of Eugene like Hendricks Park, Amazon Park, or Pre's Trails. It is free and open to runners of all levels from first timers to veterans. Join us after each workout for dinner and socializing at Villard St Pub.
The group is lead by Heather Hanscom, a professional marathoner sponsored by Brooks and PowerBar. She was the assistant coach at TJ Science & Tech for cross country and track and coach of the Mile Ahead Training Program through Pacers Running Store. Her personal achievements include a PR of 2:31:53 in the marathon, 2005 World Team Qualifier, 2004 Olympic Trials 6th place, and the 2003 Marine Corps Marathon Champion.
